The All New RS-30 System

The all new RS-30 features a low profile & 7" high (same height as an extended roof escapte hatch) molded fiberglass exterior cover. It delivers 60,000 BTU/hr of evaporator capacity and 80,000 BTU/hr of condenser capacity with 2400 CFM's. The complete unit is hard plumbed to eliminate the possibility of leaks. The interior ABS molded cover can be set up to distribute air as a free blow or ducted system. Combine two RS-30's = RS-60 System to cool even your largest buses (120,000 BTU/hr). The unit is easy to install and is ideal when exterior height and interior headroom are of concern. Applications include shuttle, mid-door, school, and ADA compliant buses.

Sneak Peak! RAC TS-24 126,000 BTU/hr Rear Shelf Mount Climate Control System.

Here is a sneak peak at the all new rear shelf mount 126,000 BTU/hr A/C system available from RAC with optional heat. The TS-24 is designed to be purpose built into medium duty transit, coach, and low floor type buses as defined by the Mid Sized Bus Manufacturers Association. Currently these manufacturers offer much bulkier systems designed for heavy duty transit coaches. The TS-24 offers reliability, durability, and performance in a package designed specifically for the medium duty market. The TS-24 measures 37 3/4" High x 63 1/2" Wide x 34 1/2" Deep. It only weighs 225 lbs. The blower motors in the TS-24 offer an amazing 4600 CFM's of air flow. Finally, the TS-24 can be powered using a variety of compressors .

RAC Annual Sales Recognition Banquet

For the second straight year RAC's annual sales recognition banquet was highlighted by Southwest RAC of Houston Texas taking home the grand prize = RAC's Distributor of the Year! Way to go you all! RAC's Best New Distributor Honors went out to the Auto Safety House of Phoenix Arizona. The Warranty Award Winner for the company who turns in the lowest percentage of warranty to RAC was Matthews Distributor Services of Archdale, NC. NJ DMV Administrative Code Update 6:21-6B.18

The most up to date information concerning NJ DMV's interpretation with regard to Administrative Code 6:21-6B.18 includes a repreive from what was printed in our hard copy "Cool Times" sent out in December 99. Basically the moratorium for change has been moved to the year 2001. However they will not allow side mounted evaporators effective immediatley. Therefore front and rear mounted overhead evaporators, and roof top units will be allowed up until the state revises its new school buspecificationas which is expected to happen prior to January 1, 2001. For those of you who did not receive our printed cool times please e-mail our webmaster at rac@injersey.com to be included in future mailings. Basically NJ is requiring that the interior a/c evaporators not infringe upon the minimum center longitudinal headline as specified in their most recent specifications. RAC offers roof top systems that comply with this interpretation by utilizing a new interior cover designed by Mr. Ed Werry of Jersey Bus Sales, Inc. as pictured below.
