Warranty Policy
- All Warranty Claims and Warranty parts go through the Distributor responsible for the sale of equipment or the Distributor chosen by the Dealer / End-user customer.

- To determine and establish the warranty coverage start date the RAC warranty Registration Card must be completed and returned to RAC attention Warranty Department. This Warranty Registration Card must include all information requested and both the installation date and the date in service. If the Warranty Period will begin on the date the unit was shipped from RAC stock. No exceptions will be made if Warranty Registration is not completed and returned.
- RAC is not responsible and will not warrant the workmanship of the authorized RAC Installation Center and will not be liable for any cost due to faulty or incorrect installation procedures.
- RAC is not responsible and will not warrant any damage to the product during shopping.
- RAC will not warrant any repairs made at any location other than an Authorized RAC Service Center, Dealer or Distributor. Prior authorization must be obtained before any warranty repair is performed. This authorization can be obtained by calling the RAC Distributor responsible for the sale of equipment or the authorized Distributor of choice.
- RAC will not warrant any unit if the Serial Number Identification plate has been altered, defaced or removed.
- RAC will determine the disposition on all defective warranty parts. To return the defective parts see the section returning defective parts. All parts must be returned according to proper procedure established in this manual.
- RAC will warrant any replacement part purchased from RAC until the end of the original warranty period or for 90 days from the date of the repair or replacement, whichever is longer.
- Replacement parts not received from RAC will not be covered under warranty unless pre-authorized in writing.
- Refrigerant costs will be specified on a quarterly Service Bulletin. Refrigerant allowable costs will be determined according to industry standards as determined by RAC Warranty Department. Chassis O.E.M. Manufacturer's (i.e. Ford) allowances do not override industry standards as established by RAC Warranty Administrator.
- Economic losses and extra expenses are not covered. Examples include but are not limited to: vehicle rental expense, lodging, storage, inconvenience, loss of revenue, towing or other travel costs.
- Maintenance of RAC systems and components is the responsibility of the owner / operator. Normal wear and tear is not and will not be considered for warranty. Any neglect of normal maintenance will not be the responsibility of RAC and expenses incurred will not be warranted.
- Normal use and service implies that failure due to accident, misuse and / or abuse is not covered by the warranty. Damage caused by replacement with a part not supplied or designed for use by RAC will be considered abuse. Service practices not approved by RAC may also be considered abuse.
- On all compressor failures RAC reserves the right to have the defective compressor replaced with a remanufactured compressor. Installation of a new compressor without prior authorization from RAC may be reason for claim adjustment or rejection.
- RAC reserves the right to make the final determination on all Warranty Claims and parts returns.
