Recommended Warranty Procedures

In the event that a Rifled Air Conditioning product fails due to defective material or workmanship within the RAC Limited Warranty Period, the warranty should be completed and filed in accordance with the proper procedures described in the following. All repairs must receive prior authorization as established by an authorized RAC Distributor in order to be eligible for warranty. (click here to see flat rates)

  1. Verify that the equipment is within the warranty period by checking the warranty registration card.
  2. Note model and serial number affixed to the component needing service.
  3. Call the Authorized RAC Distributor responsible for the sale of the equipment or the Authorized RAC Distributor of your choice. Be prepared with the information necessary to describe system failure and information in items 1 and 2.
  4. At this time the Distributor will direct you to the closest Authorized Service Center, a Service Center of your choice, or you can provide Warranty Service at your Facility. The determination must be authorized by a RAC Distributor.
  5. Once the vehicle is at an Authorized Service Warranty Center (SWC), that service center is given .50 hour diagnosis time. If repairs necessary are not covered by RAC Limited Warranty, you the customer will be responsible for that .50 hour of labor.
  6. Once failure has been diagnosed and the purposed course of action has been established, the Service Warranty Center (SWC) will contact the RAC Distributor for Authorization to do said Warranty Repairs.
  7. The RAC Distributor will issue a Warranty Authorization Number and time allowed for the repair, also any parts needed will be discussed and listed on the authorization form. A warranty authorization form will be mailed out within 24 hours.
